SPRING LEAF SUSPENSION

This is my simple 3D Leaf spring suspension design. A leaf spring suspension system typically consists of one or more stacked layers of flexible metal strips, called leaves, which are attached to the vehicle's frame and axle. The leaves are shaped in such a way that they provide a soft, but stable ride by absorbing shocks and vibrations from the road. This design helped me understand the basics of a leaf spring suspension !

Some Information !

This suspension is designed for trucks. It can easily carry a lot of weight. When the vehicle hits a bump or uneven surface, the suspension system allows the wheels to move up and down, while the leaves of the spring compress and expand to absorb the impact.

The system consists of a stack of long, thin, flat strips of metal, called leaves, which are clamped together at their center and taper outward towards the ends. The force from the impact is transferred to the leaves of the spring. The leaves flex and compress, absorbing the shock and spreading it out over a larger area. As the leaves flex, they store potential energy, which is then released as the spring returns to its original position.
